My first order was for a spindle kit. I had always wanted to learn to spin, but spinning wheels are just too expensive for me right now. So when I found out about drop spindles I ordered a kit online. The ordering was easy and my package arrived quickly.
My next order was for the hand dyed wool roving called Birch Trees. I was going to use the wool to make a few hat, scarf, and mitten sets. The wool spun like a dream. I loved the feel and coloration so much I placed a second ordered for more of the Birch Trees dyed wool. So now I’m using that beautiful hand dyed wool -- spinning it into yarn from which I’ll make myself a jacket. This is such a rewarding craft, and I’m so glad I found Main Woods Yarn & Fibers.

I've been toying with the idea of learning how to spin for awhile now. I happened upon your spindle kits on ebay and bought one now two. #1 the spindle looks and feels wonderful. #2 the kits are affordable enough that even if I decided not to pursue spinning after I've tried it which I don't see happening, it didn't cost an arm and a leg even though it includes enough roving to give it a good try. Thank-you!! |
